Following in the footsteps of our award winning Java Knights Public Forum which ran for three years between January 2006 to April 2009 at the Gladstone Artbar

We have moved into the future of queer public forums and programming. Shout has a completely new concept, that queer television audiences and forum attendees will be excited about.

Gay West Community Network Inc (Queer West) will hold a series of live monthly community events to stimulate a needed open dialogue amongst west end LGBTTIQQS2 Youth and Young Adults, their friends and allies.

If that month is a Public Forum. Then it will showcase community leaders who bring their knowledge and expertise on various our chosen topic. Each Panelist will be give 10 minutes, followed by Questions and Answers between panelist with audience, creating an educational and interactive experience for you. This worked well, when we ran Java Knights.

Every Saturday Shake a Tail @ Clinton's Tavern Queer West Toronto's loudest 60's dance party! This is the dance where you may shimmy, shake, jump, wag, howl, and sing, but you WON’T stand still! It's always a little odd to see a room of 20-somethings going nuts for music recorded 40 years ago, but the dance floor is full and the queer kids are coming out, so they must be doing something right. The sound is somewhat like some mod parties, but it's less Britcentric and more open musically. You can hear old R&B, psych rock, soul and pop throughout the evening, and there's a pretty good balance between "golden oldies" hits and dusty obscurities.Clinton's Tavern, 693 Bloor Street West, Phone: (416) 535-9541 Doors at 10pm. $5.00 Cover www.myspace.com/shakeatail | Queer West Village Toronto, Ontario.
